PIXSpain accelerates innovation in photonic integrated circuits (PICs) by providing access to the European Design Platform and its Process Design Kits (PDKs), enabling a streamlined path from concept to prototype. These resources are particularly valuable for efficiently developing, iterating, and optimizing PIC designs.

Strengthening the Spanish Photonics Ecosystem within Europe

PIXSpain is fully integrated into the European Network of Chips Competence Centres (ENCCC) and closely linked to the PIXEurope Pilot Line. This strategic position strengthens the Spanish photonics ecosystem by connecting national stakeholders with leading European infrastructures, capabilities, and collaboration opportunities within the Chips for Europe Initiative.
